Renewing the call for papers! Posted by Ethan Dawe
on 9/13, 10:49am
Just a reminder that we are always looking for more original articles. With the moderate length of the article queue now, you'll be likely to see your piece posted in short order. Want to write something, but are stumped for a topic? Check out the War Room or drop me a RoRmail and I'll try and help you come up with som... (Read more...)

We've had a good number of article submissions in the last few weeks. Thanks to everyone who has contributed! We still could use more though, and now is a good time if you're impatient to see your article posted.

Articles and Activism Posted by Ethan Dawe

Now that my first week as editor is over, I wanted to take a moment to both make a call for articles and to talk a bit about the types of articles we're looking for. In preparing to write this I went back and read Joe's opening article for RoR, "The Rebirth." The ideas he set forth there are ones I will use to help gui... (Read more...)
Yes! We Have No Articles Posted by Andrew Bissell

SOLOists, it's that time again. Each time the article queue dips below ten entries (with almost all submitted by the prolific Mr. Machan), the level of stress hormones in my blood skyrockets. I'd like to keep at least some of my hair until I reach the age of 30, so I'm asking for submissions once again.

Where are the results?! Posted by Andrew Bissell

My fellow SOLOists, you disappoint me. I can count at least five of you, off the top of my head, who have said they are working on articles, or have ideas for articles, or had some vague dream of an article that they jotted in their dream journal.

Okay, Slackers! Posted by Lindsay Perigo on 1/23, 3:53am
Enough of this holiday malingering! I haven't yelled at you these past few weeks, as the stock of SOLOHQ articles has dwindled, because I know everyone's been immersed in sand, Sauvignon, sex & surf. (At least, everyone has been in this part of the world.) But all good things must, if they are to avoid coming to an end... (Read more...)

It's Here! Posted by Lindsay Perigo on 10/02/2004, 8:22pm
Further to my recent announcement, "It's Nearly Here," I now add this one: "It's Here!" The Free Radical 64 is now hitting the shops & letterboxes of the world. Tibor Machan has received his ... here's his assessment, as posted on the "It's Nearly Here" thread: "Just got it and have been reading it and, really, ... (Read more...)
It's Nearly Here! Posted by Lindsay Perigo on 9/26/2004, 12:46am
Issue 64 of 'The Free Radical' will be sizzling off the presses in a few days. Veteran neo-Objectivist Nathaniel Branden is the star of this issue, interviewed by rookie Objectivist Alec Mouhibian. Dr. Branden thoughtfully & elegantly ranges over such questions as the meaning of life(!), Ronald Reagan, the war in Iraq,... (Read more...)
Moving On Posted by Lindsay Perigo on 9/18/2004, 12:10am
Boys and Girls, Tonight I've posted Chris Sciabarra's final riposte to Regi Firehammer on the matter of Objectivism and homosexuality. Some weeks ago, some posters to SOLOHQ said too much time and space was being devoted to the subject. I disputed this, arguing that the time and space being devoted t... (Read more...)
Slobs, beware! Posted by Lindsay Perigo on 9/14/2004, 4:52am
This applies directly to rookies only - they who are still under moderation. But I hope it's taken to heart also by those who are *not* under moderation who commit the same mortal sin. I have rejected several would-be posts today because they eschewed the use of capital letters when caps were called for. This affront t... (Read more...)
